Create a piece of jewelry that is personal, meaningful and made specifically for you. Nicolas Ambrosio works directly with each client from his New York City studio, combining traditional jewelry-making techniques with an architectural and industrial design perspective.

Custom projects may include engagement rings, wedding bands, signet rings, fingerprint jewelry, necklaces, bracelets, gemstone pieces, heirloom redesigns and one-of-a-kind variations of existing Nicolas Ambrosio designs.

How the Custom Process Works

1. Tell Us About Your Idea

Complete the form below with as much information as possible. You may include the type of piece, preferred materials, gemstones, approximate budget, size, desired completion date and any personal meaning behind the design.

2. Design and Estimate

Nicolas will review your request and respond within two business days. If the project is a good fit, we will arrange a consultation by phone, video call or at the Ridgewood, Queens studio.

After discussing the design, you will receive an estimate covering materials, design, production and the anticipated timeline. Estimates remain valid for 30 days due to fluctuations in precious-metal and gemstone prices.

3. Production

A deposit is required before design development or production begins. Most custom pieces require approximately four to eight weeks after the design, materials and estimate have been approved. More complex projects may require additional time.

Because custom jewelry is created specifically for you, deposits and completed custom pieces are non-refundable. Final pricing and production timing will be confirmed before work begins.

Materials and Customization

Custom pieces can be created in sterling silver, 14K or 18K gold and other materials appropriate for the design. Available stones may include natural or lab-grown diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls. Engraving, fingerprints, special finishes and heirloom stones can also be considered.
